Home Awards
The late Charles Lester, co-founder of Stockton Beautiful, created the Home Awards Program with a view toward honoring homeowners who make a special effort to maintain their home and yards. Since 2000, Stockton Beautiful has presented Home Awards to homeowners who demonstrate particular pride in their properties. It is the intent of this projects to foster respect for our neighborhoods and our community. More recently, the late John Falls revived the program which has become an annual event for our community. The program focuses on a single neighborhood every year and sponsors a festive event where honorees are recognized and plaques awarded.
We hosted the winners of last year’s Home Awards Program. After a reception, awardees were presented with plaques, home signs and gift bags donated by the Port of Stockton. Special recognition is presented each year by Norene and Lisa Falls in honor of past-president John Falls. Last year the John Falls Award was presented to Joanna Winram. We want to thank Gary Christopherson and the Port of Stockton for providing the special gifts for the winners.
