Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden Renewal Project

On June 26, 2024, we celebrated the renewal of the Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden at Victory Park with picture-perfect weather and over 150 enthusiastic guests. The revitalized garden, complete with vibrant roses and newly installed signage, was unveiled during a memorable dedication ceremony, preceded by a warm reception inside the Haggin Museum. Guests enjoyed light refreshments and beverages while marveling at the beauty of the restored garden. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed to making this event a tremendous success!

About the Renewal Project

This celebration marks the culmination of a thoughtful renewal project, launched to restore the Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden to its former glory. Over the winter and spring, the beloved garden underwent a comprehensive transformation, addressing years of challenges caused by vandalism, drought, the pandemic, and natural wear and tear.

Key improvements include:

- Complete rose replacement to revitalize the garden's beauty.

- Restoration of columns and arbors for structural integrity and elegance.

- New signage installation to enhance the visitor experience.

- Irrigation system upgrades to support sustainability.

- Lawn replacement for a lush, inviting landscape.

The garden’s dedication markers were also removed as part of the project’s enhancements.

A Venue of Timeless Charm

The Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden continues to serve as a serene setting for events such as wedding ceremonies, small receptions, and gatherings.
