Weber Avenue Median Renovation completed in 2019

The Weber Avenue Median Improvement Project which stretches from El Dorado to San Joaquin Street was crafted through a collaboration between the Downtown Stockton Alliance and Stockton Beautiful.

This project was a labor of love for all its supporters, and it would not have been possible without the generous contributions of those who attended the project fundraiser at Bella Vista in October of 2017 which was hosted by Rima and Anthony Barkett.

The earnings from that event made it possible to fund this project in conjunction with the combined contribution of some $30,000 from Downtown Stockton Alliance and Stockton Beautiful. Total project cost: $46,289 plus in kind donations which included the engineering and design component.

Valley Landscaping was responsible for the removal of the spent vegetation including woody lavender, rosemary plants, and the unfortunate oleanders under the crepe myrtle trees which blocked the view across Weber Avenue.

Once demolition was completed Valley Landscaping installed a modernized, highly efficient irrigation system. They completed the project with the installation of new plants which were selected for their visual high impact, low maintenance and very low water use.
