BEAUTIFICATION COMPLETE · JUNE 2024

A renewed garden for Stockton

The Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden at Victory Park was renewed in 2024 with new roses, restored columns and arbors, upgraded irrigation, new signage, and fresh lawn.

About the renewal

Over the winter and spring, Stockton Beautiful worked to restore the garden after years of challenges from vandalism, drought, the pandemic, and everyday wear.

What the project included

  • Complete replacement of the roses
  • Restoration of columns and arbors
  • New garden signage
  • Irrigation system upgrades
  • Lawn replacement

The garden’s dedication markers were also removed as part of the renewal.

Celebrating the completed garden

On June 26, 2024, more than 150 guests gathered to celebrate the renewed garden. A reception inside the Haggin Museum preceded the dedication ceremony, where guests saw the restored landscape and new signage.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life and supported the renewal of this special place in Victory Park.
